Cumbria team promoting business in new digital world

Advertising is now much more than just placing an advertisement in the local newspaper – and a Carlisle based company is helping businesses make the most of the ever changing face of promotions and marketing in the region.

Enitiative media, established in 2007 has more than 30 years combined experience working within advertising.

From the head office in Kingstown, Carlisle owners Graham Manchester and Matthew Dean are helping clients with a wide range of promotional opportunities.

The company has designed and built more than 35 websites, produced 37 issues of their free publications Local Cars in Cumbria & SW Scotland, four issues of their Local Menu’s in Carlisle, as well as developing brands and logos for a number of companies.

Graham said: “We are able to offer services which cover a broad spectrum of the media mix.

With so many opportunities for advertisers to spend money in today’s changing media landscape, it can be an expensive exercise if you get it wrong.”

Enitiative media have their own in-house design studio where brothers James and Owen Jones create the art work for bespoke websites and also have the facility for creating HTML documents/mms/sms campaigns.

Graham explained: “We are currently building a new site for Aghire who specialise in the hiring of farm equipment, which when you add this to our three most recently launched websites that we have built for Lattimer Homes, Carlisle Refrigeration and Ben Hodgson Cars, it provides a good illustration of the diverse range of businesses that we currently deal with.”

Matthew added: “Our work is really satisfying for us as we all enjoy what we do and gain pleasure from delivering high quality results – whatever the task.”

As well as their portfolio of successful websites they have created for their clients, enitiative media have also been appointed on agency retainers by several local clients.

In addition they can provide the concept and supply of relevant promotional material for clients – from providing branded memory stick wristbands containing the prospectus in digital form for the Richard Rose Academy through to supplying sealed water bottles to promote the new Carlisle Youth Zone.

Matthew added: “The business has grown quickly in a very short time thanks to the many recommendations from our existing clients. People trust us because we understand the wider promotional and advertising market and are more than happy to give advice.

"We believe that working in a relaxed atmosphere helps to build a creative environment which in turn benefits our clients.”
