Raise a cup for Epilepsy Action

Eden District Councillor Dorothy Spence is hosting a tea break and coffee morning event at her local village hall to raise funds for Epilepsy Action – a charity she has personal experience of.

Dorothy said: “I used to suffer from a rare form of epilepsy myself, following a nasty bump on the head.

“Medication solved the problem, but I believe my brain has gradually healed up, and I came off the medication nearly a year ago, and have been free of epileptic episodes for many years, including the last 11 months without medication.”

And Dorothy is inviting everyone to join her for a cuppa on Saturday, October 29 at Long Marton Village Institute from 10am until 12 noon.

Dorothy added: “As well as tea and coffee, there will be a cake-stall, a bric-a-brac stall, second -hand books, and an Autumn Quiz.”
