The nation's favourite food heroes, the Hairy Bikers, are launching their new range of chilled ready meals in Booths stores throughout the North of England using some of their own favourite
recipes – with a twist.
The duo will be at the new Booths Store in Penrith tomorrow, November 24 between 12 noon - 2 pm to promote their new range of ready meals
The stars of BBC2's Mums Know Best, meals on Wheels and best of British have come to represent all that is good hearted, down-to-earth and loved about food.
The Hairy Bikers understand the language of food, have a passion for ingredients and the way food is put together and are also aware of the importance of good animal husbandry, using fresh British ingredients to produce tasty, rustic, home cooking in decent sized portions - food that people would like to cook themselves if only they had the time.
The range includes lots of Hairy favourites such as The Ultimate Crunchy Parmesan Fish Pie, Braised Beef and Beaujolais and Chicken with Somerset Cheese, Cider and Apples.
Si and Dave said: “We are so excited by our food range which we have developed with Bakkavor. It has long been our ambition to make a ready meal that tastes just like home cooked food, and by Jove we have.
“We have achieved this by using good ingredients and some of our favourite recipes that we enjoy time and time again. We hope everyone will enjoy our dishes as much as we do.
“They come in packs of good sized portions for two. Some are good midweek staples and some are suitable for a dinner party. We chose to create meals that required cooking in a proper oven as we felt this was the best way to achieve a fresh home cooked taste, and this time the Hairy Bikers and Bakkavor have done the work for you.”
Their ready meals are noted for their quality and convenience – freezable and ovenable, - and will appeal across the generations, just like the Hairy Bikers themselves. Furthermore, with a massive 76% of consumers buying ready meals, they are a market ready for the Hairy Bikers.
