A dressage gold rush for Pony Club members too

 

On the Day the GB Dressage team took our first ever Olympic Dressage medal, Members of Cumberland Farmers’ Hunt (South) Branch of the Pony Club were also on top of their game at the Pony Club Area 2 Dressage Competition. Following on from the recent success of the CFHS Open and Intermediate teams, the CFHS Novice and Junior teams
won both the team and individual competitions at Brougham Hall Farm, Penrith. A day of golden weather and golden success!

The Novice competition was won by the team of Nina Smith (1 st individual in her arena), Laura Holliday, Sally Addison and Emma Addison (5th individual in her arena) and they qualified for the Novice Championships at the end of August. The second placed team was the CFHS team of Jessica Clark (1 st individual in her arena), Lucy Hogg, Hollie
Airey and Hazel Noble. The third placed team was from the Braes of Derwent South Pony Club.

The CFHS Juniors continued the winning run. The winning Junior team was Sally Braithwaite, Hannah Parkin (2 nd individual in her arena), Amy Veitch and Nikkita Guy (1st individual in her arena). Second Junior team was the CFHS team of Alex Towler (1st equal individual in her arena), Tamar Miller, Emily Watson, and Holly Veitch (4th individual
in her arena) and the CFHS team of Eliza Gutteridge, Anna Slack (3 rd individual in her arena), Sophie Jones (3rd equal individual in her arena) and Elizabeth Templeton was 4th overall.
