Man charged with drink driving in connection with Brough death

A man from Brough has been charged with driving a motor vehicle when his alcohol level was above the legal limit following an incident on Monday 27th February 2012. Police were called to Black Bull Lane in Brough, after a body of a woman was located.  Rose-Marie Valente, aged 49, from Woodside Crescent, Bingley, West Yorks, was identified and her family paid tribute to a woman “who will be greatly missed by the family and her friends.”

Trevor Dent, aged 49, from Swindale Grange, Brough has been charged with driving a motor vehicle when alcohol level above limit in connection with the incident. He will appear at Carlisle Magistrates on 4 September 2012 at 9:30 am.

A file has been submitted by Detectives in relation to offences surrounding Rose-Marie Valente’s death which will be considered by the Crown Prosecution Service.
