Police investigate report of sheep that drowned in river Eden

Police are investigating the report of a sheep that drowned in the river Eden, after being chased into it by a terrier type dog, at around 10.45 am on Sunday 30th September 2012.
Pictures have been obtained which shows the dog swimming in the river and police are trying to trace the owner of the dog.  If anyone witnessed this incident or can identify the dog and their owner or if this dog belongs to you, can you please contact PC 1099 Goodall on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
