Thanks to rescue team from dad of boy in 200ft. Lake District fall

The father of a 12 year old boy who fell 200ft. down a Lake District crag today thanked rescuers and said his son would make a full recovery. The family, from Buckinghanshireat are still at the boy’s bedside in hospital in Newcastle. He fell from Jacks Rake in the Langdale Pikes more than a week ago.and was treated by a combination of air ambulance staff a paramedic and members of the Langdale and Ambleside Mountain Rescue Team.
I a message to the rescue team the boy’s father said: “Firstly I'd like to thank you for your help in getting my son off the hill safely; right from the outset we had fantastic support from all of the services, and he's making great progress with his recovery.' 'Remarkably his only break was a skull fracture and it looks like he is going to make a full recovery' ‘Things are on the up and up and we hope to return home soon.”
