On the 22nd April, the stunning Low House in Armathwaite will be the location of a unique event for Cumbria. Annabel Candler, owner of Weddings by Annabel, is bringing together local wedding suppliers under the roof of three giant Tipis. After attending many wedding fairs across the region, Annabel is looking to support the local industry in a unique and interesting way, as she explained.
‘When I go to a fair, I love to feel a friendly atmosphere and to get to know each business. This is important for choosing who you would like to be involved for the big day. What makes each supplier tick? What do they enjoy about their work? Why are they better than the competition? The Wedding Festival will answer these queries plus offer much more!’
On the day, a charity raffle will raise money for the local children’s charity, Cash for Kids. The winners will receive prizes to help with their wedding plans. Visitors can also attend expert talks and workshops aimed at advising on important decisions and factors involved with budgeting. Alternatively, guests can relax on the lawns and listen to a live band whilst eating hog roast and tasting a selection of handpicked wines!
The wedding industry in Cumbria has some very successful members with new entrepreneurs joining all the time. Annabel hopes to show case the best the area has to offer and grow the event year on year, with the help of Special Event Tipis.
