The Fellside concerts have continued throughout the summer, featuring some of our areas talented young musicians and both amateur and professional musicians. They have continued to bring a wide variety of live music – youth choir, solo vocalists, instrumental groups and soloist flute, cello, oboe and clarinet to appreciative audiences right in the heart of our village communities.
We are delighted to report that The Gainsborough Ensemble will be returning to Dufton at 5pm on September 4 for their third visit.
Those in previous years who have found their way across the hay field to Dufton church will not want to miss another chance to experience their varied programme of Baroque music.
The Ensemble brings together expert performers of chamber music, and several members are, or have been, principals in some of our greatest orchestras.
For example, the cello player, Graham Bradshaw, is currently co-principal cellist for the BBC Symphony Orchestra and will be returning hotfoot to London after the Dufton concert for two more performances at the Proms, including the Last Night the following weekend.
