The Border Concert Band visited Inn on the Lake in Glenridding to play traditional Christmas carols through lunch and afternoon tea.
The restaurant was packed with lunchtime diners who appreciated the music and sang along with the carols.
It was an event for all ages – there were children aged two dancing in the lounges whilst Grandparents sat and enjoyed the food and music
Abbey and Georgia Barr who attended said: “It was a very exciting start to Christmas and there was a real festive feel and a great family atmosphere that everyone really enjoyed together.”
The Inn on the Lake hopes to make this event part of family Christmas tradition next year, setting the scene for Christmas in Glenridding.
General Manager Gary Wilson said: “There were 20 members of the Border Concert Band who travelled from Carlisle to play at the event. This is the second time this year that they have featured at Inn on the Lake and they are certainly welcome to come back any time.”
