This Easter Windermere Lake Cruises is teaming up with other local attractions to offer families a special, value-for-money day out over the school holidays.
Families purchasing one of the cruise specialists’ combined boat tickets will be able to enjoy the Lakes Aquarium, the Lakeland Motor Museum or Brockhole’s Lake District Visitor Centre, along with a scenic Windermere Lake cruise from either Ambleside, Brockhole, Bowness or Lakeside, the most southern point of the lake.
After mingling with creatures of the deep from around the world at the Lakes Aquarium or exploring the Lakeland Motor Museum’s 30,000 exciting motor exhibits, families could depart Lakeside and take a cruise along England’s largest lake to the bustling town of Bowness, before embarking on a 20 minute cruise to Brockhole for the Lake District Visitor Centre’s array of all-weather attractions.
The centre’s award-winning historic gardens, adventure playground, indoor play area and traversing wall make it the ideal attraction for families and its café is the perfect place to relax over a delicious homemade treat or two, whilst looking out over the stunning Lake Windermere.
From Thursday April 5, visitors will also be able to take part in annual Beatrix Potter Easter Egg Hunt, one of the largest of its kind in the UK and free to take part. To celebrate Peter Rabbit’s 110th birthday, a total of 110 specially designed and hand-crafted eggs will be hidden right across Cumbria and with ten top prizes up for grabs, it makes the ideal way to celebrate Easter in the picturesque region*.
Combined boat tickets start from just £40.90 for a family of two adults and three children, and are available every day from 1st February 2012. For more information please phone Windermere Lake Cruises on 015394 43360 or visit www.windermere-lakecruises.co.uk.
