Police have identified the man who fell 200ft to his death in the Lake District yesterday. He was Peter Huntley from Preston.
Mr Huntley, 55, of Primrose Grove, Preston died at around 2.30pm on Sunday after falling approximately 200ft from a ledge while walking with a friend near High Street above Blea Water.
Penrith Mountain Rescue team attended along with the air ambulance and RAF Kinloss. Mr Huntley was pronounced dead on scene and was brought down from the fell by RAF Kinloss.
Mr Huntley’s family and the coroner have been informed.
