The opportunity to share your views on the Local Healthwatch and Independent Advocacy Service consultation ends next Friday (24 August 2012).
The Local Healthwatch will look to:
Give people information and advice about health and social care services.
Put people in touch with the services they need.
Speak to people to find out how health and social care services could be better.
Cumbria County Council wants people to share their views on how this should be set up. People can share their opinions online by going to www.cumbria.gov.uk then selecting Council and Democracy followed by Consultation and Research. Hardcopies are currently available from Cumbria’s libraries.
Cumbria County Council is particularly interested on hearing the views in these key areas:
What works at the moment and what could be improved in terms of provision of information, advice and support about health and social care services?
Whether the council’s vision for Local Healthwatch is right?
What would encourage people to get actively involved in Local Healthwatch?
