A man who died a week after a car crash was named as David Latimer, aged 66. Mr Latimer, of Gelt Road in Brampton, died in hospital after his Toyota Land Cruiser was involved in an accident on the A69 in Hexham.
He was taken to the Cumberland Infirmary after the accident on July 20 but died on Friday. The Mazda also involved, was driven by a 33-year-old man, who suffered minor injuries.
Northumbria police are investigating the crash which took place on the eastbound carriageway at the junction for Upper Denton in Hexham.Witnesses are asked to contact officers on 101, extension 69191
