Police charge man, 48, with murder

Robert Adam Pierre Archbold, aged 48 from Outgate, Ambleside has been charged with  the murder of Jane Marie Theresa Archbold, aged 77. On Tuesday 21 August 2012 at 10:00 pm police were called to a property in Outgate, Ambleside  where Mrs Archbold had been assaulted and despite attempts at resuscitation by paramedics, sadly died.

Robert Adam Pierre Archbold was arrested on suspicion of murder at 00:41 am on Wednesday 22 August 2012, following a search of the local area. He will appear at Furness District Magistrates court on  Friday 24th August 2012
