Once again Wigton Motor Club is assisting up to six newcomers to the sport to take part in speed events during the 2011 season. The Novice Speed Event Scholarship is open to anyone who has not previously held an MSA Competition Licence and is run as part of the Brockbanks Solicitors Cross Border Speed Championship.
The championship covers a full range of cars from roads cars through kit cars to single seaters and always has a strong classic entry with several MGs, Triumphs and Jaguar amongst others on the entry list.
The 6 Scholarship winners will receive part payment towards an MSA approved race suit to a maximum of £100, a free test day and tuition, mentoring during the year, half price entry fees for WMC sprints in the Brockbanks Solicitors Cross Border Speed Championship.
Application forms are now available at www.wigtonmc.co.uk and they have to be returned by March 10th.
