Tickets for the 12th Silloth Music and Beer Festival go on sale this Friday (March 30th).As well as 75+ real ales and ciders, we have a fantastic line up that we hope appeals to all who attend to our festival.
The line up includes: The Roy G Hemmings Dictionary of Soul show (Roy was the longest serving member of The Drifters and will play over two hours of Soul and Motown Hits), Bombskare (Scotland’s 9-man ska juggernaut), Elvis Fontenot and the Sugar Bees (Europe’s premier swamp’n'roll band who performed to rave reviews at our 10th Festival), Boomin’ (3 piece pop/rock band from Wigan who have supported artists including The Script, Scouting for Girls and McFly) and outstanding tribute acts Antarctic Monkeys, Limehouse Lizzy and New2. Alongside that will be a chance for YOU to be the star, as we bring Rockaoke to Cumbria for the first time. Rockaoke gives festival goers the chance to perform alongside a live rock band, and they have endless celebrity fans including Chris Moyles, Chris Evans and Justin Lee Collins to name just a few! We also have some fantastic talent for you from our Battle of the Bands competitions. Morecambe band, Scarred ID, will play with a blistering set of original rock tunes. Local bands, The Pulse and Brightside will play a mix of classic covers and original material and as we write this there is one more place up for grabs at the final battle, on March 31st in Workington.
Tickets will be available from Winters Newsagents in Silloth, The Carnegie Theatre in Workington and also online from ticketweb.
The festival will be held under canvas from September 6th to 9th 2012, on Silloth’s Green, and a four day festival pass is £38.
