Man charged following Whitehaven robberies

A Whitehaven man has appeared in court after being charged with robbery. Christopher Appleby Hardy, 23, of Lonsdale Court, Whitehaven was charged with two counts of robbery and a possession of offensive weapon following incidents at Corals and William Hill Bookmakers in Whitehaven on 16th August 2012.

He appeared before West Allerdale Magistrates Court on Saturday 18 August and was remanded in custody.
