Police name local man, 85,who died days after road crash

Police  today named the man who died following a road traffic collision in St Bees last week as local man Robert Pearson, 85. Mr.Pearson of Main Street, St Bees was driving his Ford Focus on Wednesday 5 September when at 11.40am, he collided with a house at the junction of Outrigg Road and Main Street. He was taken to West Cumberland Hospital for treatment but sadly passed away in hospital on Sunday 9 September.

Mr Pearson’s family have been informed and they are being supported by police during this difficult time.

An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision is underway and police officers are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information to contact the Roads Policing Unit by calling 101.
